Back For More?

So you are back for more, huh?!!  Well then I need to congratulate myself because I must have done something right on my first blog.  Anyway, I'm glad I have your attention at least for a few minutes.  I promise I'll give it all to you straight for doing this for me.  You know, I thought real hard about what topic to write about and I was overwhelmed because I have soooo much to share with you.  But, then I thought again.  I don't want to overload you already so I'll keep it simple.  I'll share a little more about me and this way, I kind of ease the way into my crazy stories.  So let's begin...

As I mentioned on my first blog (or maybe I didn't...get used to me forgetting btw), I am no longer working for the company I used to work for.  Let me say that this was heartbreaking for me and I was a bit bitter over it (as I'm sure all people that got laid off were).  This was my first time getting laid off...ever...from any job (and I've been working for ever or what seems like forever).  But yeah, first time not having a job.  I mean this is terrible, I'm a workaholic!! I worked through school, through pregnancy, through drama...and always did and outstanding job because I'm good like that.  But yeah, got laid off, just like that, just like so many.  As expected, me getting laid off was an ego disaster!!!  Here I was, this young, hot mom (as my kids see me) getting laid off from her dream job.  In my head, I'm thinking, someone like me doesnt get laid off (lol).  I didn't know what to do...it all seemed like a bad dream.  But nope, no dream, all real.  Went through my stages...you know, the "I'll pretend I'm on vacation" stage, then the "I'll take this time to better myself and take care of ME for a change" stage.   Slowly moved into the "Wow, I really dont have a job and I'm still in my pajamas" stage.  To the now, "Damn, it is hard to find another awesome job that pays good and crap!! I'm now digging into my savings" stage.  lol  Oh yes, I AM THERE!!! 

Overall though, I'm making the best of it.  Thank God that besides my good looks & charm (hey, I have to keep my self-esteem up, I dont wait on someone else to do it), I also have a brain.  I've managed to keep a roof over our heads, the power on, food on the table, cable on (w/now only 2 premium channels & 1 DVR though), internet on, cell phones on, pool svc (though I owe like 3 months now), etc ...all the essentials.  Yeah, I said it...all the essentials.  The ones that pretty much give you the right to live in the OC.  Yeah, harsh, but I wouldn't think of living anywhere else.

Anyway, I think this is all I'm going to share with you today.  I think its more than what your were expecting, huh?! Well, thanks for letting me share my stress with you and for reading this blog till the end.  Don't worry, they get better, funnier and quite a bit crazy.  But like I said, I want to ease you into it.  Plus, I have to get comfortable with you....after all, we just met!!!  ;)

My First Blog

Though I'm not new to writting, I'm a bit new to blogging.  Let me tell you why I'm doing it though, I'm sure you will relate.  As I go through my day, I have millions of thoughts, good & evil.  Some I can share with someone else in the house but some I can't because I would probably end up in the looney bin.  So now, I'm tired of withholding it all. If I keep withholding, I'll check myself into a nut house.  Anyway, so since I will no longer hold anything in, and I can't go about my day blurting stuff out, I will blog it all out.  You are in for a nice treat!

So let's start off with my name.  I'm sure you're wondering why ViPintheOC.  Yeah, in the OC means I live in the beautiful Orange County.  But why ViP you ask...what's so "VIP" about me?  lol  Well that's actually real simple...my first name is Vicky, hence the Vi, and P is the first letter of my last name.  Sooo, I'm Vicky P, in the OC!!  Now, I do consider myself a VIP though.  I deserve VIP status with all the crap...I mean, stuff, I have to do day in and day out.  You know, kids, work, pets, bills, appts, cleaning, laundry, money, ...etc.  So I do ALL of it while keeping it together and looking good in order to fit in with all these trophy, barbie looking wives.  No offense trophy wives...Good Job on landing a loaded guy.  ;)  Guys, good job on the trophy wives...keep 'em in check, dont let them fool around.  But yeah, I should be considered VIP if I can do all that and still look half-decent (or in my kids eyes, like a model). 

Now, to my blogs.  Yes, I will post blogs on all kinds of topics.  I am all over the place.  I'm a mom of 2 and love it, you'll hear about them.  Beware, they are usually referred to as Children of the Corn.  The ex, will be a huge topic of interest for you, strange relationship. Yeah, we get along.  Parents, though they get on my nerves from time to time, will also be discussed.  They are usually referred to as The Old People or the Handicrappers.  Siblings, you know I have a thing or two to say about ALL 5 of them, will also be discussed.  And all my family and friends as well.  Oh yeah, I got something for all of them.  I enjoy many sports, especially MMA.  So watch out after UFC fights, I'll be blogging all about them.  I enjoy all good music and absolutely love to dance, so I may mention some favs, do a little review here and there and from time to time post a link to a dl from some of my DJ friends.  I also love fashion.  Anything clothing, shoes, make up, accesories...I'm there. I used to work and make a very good living, so I got used to having all this in abundance.  Unfortunately, I was one of the millions that got laid off (and now looking for a new job) so now I'm having to get used to getting what I like but within a budget.  Yeah...you'll definitely be hearing about that, I'm struggling on this.  Well I think this gives you an idea of my blogs (in a nutshell). I know you know where I'm headed now so why continue on with this.   Point blank...you'll get it all here, the real life of ViP in the OC!
